| The MRA Board of Directors voted on February 2, 2004 to
offer a $250.00 purse to the first person to shoot fifty (50)
consecutive sporting clays in a single game starting on Sunday, February
8th. If no one wins the $250.00 that Sunday, the purse will increase
by $25.00 per week up to a maximum of a $500.00 purse.
William Tumbarello, chair of the MRA Trap and Clays committee proposed the purse in recognition of the re-opening of the Sporting Clays Field and the growing number of shot gunners that have shown up since re-opening the shotgun fields to steel shot. TRAP- will be offered on Wednesday evenings from 6-8:45 pm at only $8.00 per game including steel shot ammunition. SPORTING CLAYS will be on Sundays starting at 10:00am sharp at $16.00 per game including two boxes of steel shot ammunition and 50 clays If you haven't taken out your shotgun in awhile, come on by and check it out.
