Round- (of skeet or trap or sporting clays) trap and skeet events are broken down into smaller segments called rounds where a group of five or six shooters normally shoot 25 shots each and then let another group shoot. |
Skeet-A shotgun sport involving shooting at clay targets thrown from a "high house" on the left and a "low house" on the right. The shooter moves to eight different points or stations on the field so the shooting angles at the clay targets are different. At some stations the shooter will shoot "doubles",i.e. shoot once each at two different clay targets. |
Sporting Clays-A shotgun sport involving shooting at clay targets thrown from traps that simulate field shooting. The courses are set up in fields and woods, rather on the standard skeet or trap range. |
Trap-1. A shotgun sport involving shooting at clay targets thrown from a bunker or house whose top is at ground level in front of the shooter or 2. the machine that throws the clay target from the bunker or house. |
