Two-Person Teams Shoot 40 Falling Targets

When the smoke cleared, which team was the fastest!

Twelve pairs of shooters were drawn from the hat, matching up one Stock class and one Open class shooter per team. Each team faced forty targets, twenty apiece. Of course, helping the other guy knock down his targets is highly recommended in this speed shooting game. All teams shoot three turns (of 40) giving the chance to improve their times. The total time for three turns is added up and the best (fastest) over-all time wins.

First Place went to Dave P. and Zeke, this time. Congratulations. The competition was fierce with Second Place going to Dave P and Jeff; Third Place to Rich and Less; and Fourth Place to Ronnie and Dave Q. The fastest single time for 40 targets was 18.67 seconds! And, the slowest was, well, that doesn’t matter because everyone had fun and got to do a lot of shooting.

The other teams included: Rich and Nate; Frank and Matt; Sean and Dave T.; Katie and Ed; Less and Andrew; Ronnie and Sean; Paul and Rob; and Palmy and Brian. There were two, experienced young shooters: Katie and Andrew, who did a fine job and made us old folks work all the harder not to look bad.

Mass Rifle holds the 40 Falling Target match on the fifth Sunday of months that have five Sundays. The next match will be at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 30. Mark your calendar and come join the fun. Bring plenty of ammo – 150 rounds or so.
