Dorothy Knight U.S.R.A. National Champion

Dorothy Knight is holding a S&W K 38 6" barrel revolver that she used to win the 1943 championship.  She was a long time member of the M.R.A. and was a distinguished member of the shooting fraternity of the hill.  Her husband was a Woburn Police Officer.  They lived in Woburn all their lives.  The S&W was bought at auction by William Buehler, a past president of M.R.A. and a S&W collector.

300 YARDS, .22 CALIBER
The match begins on Saturday morning.  It is the best time of the day to shoot at 200 yards with a.22 caliber rifle from the bench.  Your target is a 4" circle, 5V target.  The idea is to get twenty shots in the bullseye; you have to shoot over 20 targets for the year to win the match and the cup.
The match starts on the 3rd Sunday of August & runs thru the 2nd Sunday of August the following year.
